OpenCourseWare Consortium compliments TU Delft OpenCourseWare website!

In the process of redesigning the OpenCourseWare (OCW) Consortium website the OCW Consortium interviewed TU Delft OpenCourseWare (among others) on experiences in interacting with the OCW Consortium website. Results and consequences for the OCW Consortium website will be discussed in the next OCW Consortium board meering.

In this extensive interview, the Open Courseware Consortium praised TU Delft for the current TU Delft OpenCourseWare website in terms of the structure, completeness and obvious link with the applicable programs. Other institutions seem to use TU Delft OpenCourseWare as an example to set up their own OpenCourseWare website.

TU Delft OpenCourseWare was also asked to consider a new model in which our TU Delft students (at a modest fee) accompany foreign students studying our material (peer to peer model). The OpenCourseWare Concortium wants to try and start up such a model in cooperation with some other institutions. How this will all work out in future developments, will become clearer in the course of next year.

Happy holidays
