Surf Onderwijsdagen

TU Delft OpenCourseWare and Collegerama on IGIP-SEFI 2010, Trnava (Slovakia)

Last week the IGIP-SEFI annual was held in Trnava (Slovakia). IGIP and SEFI are the two major international societies for engineering education. TU Delft is member of SEFI. At last year’s conference in Rotterdam (Netherlands) TU Delft presented its OpenCourseWare program (http://vimeo.com/5458064).

TU Delft was represented by presentations of:

  • Ellen Sjoer (TPM, Technology, Strategy & Entrepreneurship)
  • Eric de Graaff TPM, Technology, Strategy & Entrepreneurship)
  • Peter de Moel (CE, Watermanagement).

The presentation of Peter de Moel was focused on recorded lectures as used in TU Delft OpenCourseWare:

After the presentation he was invited by a Danish university for a two day visit next November for a presentation and discussions with part of their teaching staff.

The conference was held at the Faculty of Material Science and Technology which is located next to the soccer stadium of Spartak Trnava. In 1969 Ajax Amsterdam escaped here from an overall defeat, reaching the final of the European Champion Cup (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa1dv3RhuPo).

Open Sessie SURF Onderwijsdagen: We kunnen aan de slag!

SURF Onderwijsdagen

OpenCourseWare in NRC Handelsblad (Dutch Newspaper)

More and more universities worldwide (and in the Netherlands) publish their educational materials online, for free. TU Delft and the Open University NL have been doing this for a few years now, and Groningen and Leiden are getting there. Goal: to reach students!

The Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad published an article about the developments of OpenCourseWare, noticing that more and more institutions underline the importance of open publication of educational materials and that this open movement forces institutions to seriously consider joining the OpenCourseWare initiative. Obviously, TU Delft can only encourage other institutions to join us in open publication op educational materials!

S.M. (Sofia) Dopper, Onderwijskundig adviseur/projectleider OpenCourseWare TU Delft
Doelgroep: HBO/WO
"

Maar vergeet ook de overige voorstellen niet. U mag 3 stemmen uitbrengen. Alvast bedankt!
